Over the past few weeks one of my friends and I have been house captains for our school's House Languages competition.

'And what on earth does that entail?' I hear you asking.

Well, the basic gist of the competition is to get people together from all years in our house (the mighty mighty Claydon!) and create a short film depicting a fairy tale in a foreign language. It just so happens that we chose to do Snow White (or Schneewittchen) in German.

Allow me to tell you that up until last night, my friend had done nearly all the hard work with me taking a back seat. But as she was unavailable, I was left with a big chunk of editing to do, which I was quite looking forward to doing really.

So I sat down merrily at 7:30pm last night, expecting to do a couple of hours of jolly, nice editing.

Come 2:30am, I still hadn't finished. But I allowed myself a few hours' sleep, just to be on the safe side. At 5:30am, I got back onto the computer to finish the darn thing.

And I finished it.. and I didn't. It refused to save as a movie at home, it refused at school.

So this afternoon we had the showing and awards ceremony, a posh do which included a red carpet. But then disaster struck.. the sound was messed up on all of the films. But as we had spent so long subtitling and adding music (which didn't mess up) to our film, it wasn't ruined like some of the other houses'. I really feel for the other captains, they spent so long working on their films just to have them shown with a big pie portion of them missing.

I'm waffling, so I'll cut to the point: We WON! Not just one award though, no. Best Soundtrack, Best 'Actor' (we're an all-girls school), Best Actress, and best of all, Best Film! I'm still walking on air, funny old me.

The twin sister of ~Anniepopokios, it's also clear that she adores drawing. I love the way that she doesn't limit herself to the basic positions and anatomy, as I often do, but is a bit more adventurous.
